I like experimenting a variety of different mediums and subjects, but generally take my inspiration from the natural world and my personal experiences. I also make figures for outreach and research presentations.
Exhibitions
My submission, Hare, is showing as part of the ReCollections exhibit celebrating biodiversity. The exhibition runs from September 2020 to February 2022.

Doing Art in the Bell Pettigrew Museum Summer Exhibition
|
I organised an art exhibition in 2017 of the work that we did in Doing Art in the Bell Pettigrew Museum, which is a twice monthly art gathering in the Biology museum. The purpose of this exhibition was to engage public, staff and students with the Bell Pettigrew Museum, and showcase the varied activities it supports. For this exhibition I submitted two two panel soft pastel drawings of birds in the museum.

Logos and branding
I designed logos for the Wolkovich Temporal Ecology Lab, our winegrape diversity protect, and our current meta-analysis project, as well as images for promotional material. These will feature on upcoming presentations, factsheets, our cold hardiness dashboard, industry communication documents and promotional stickers and t-shirts.
Vineyard art
I recently visited the vineyards of the Okanagan Valley to set up and collect phenology data. This field trip trip has inspired a few different pieces of art, including a painting of the very cute California Quail that scamper around the vineyards. I loved listening to their varied calls.
Art for presentations
I have drawn many pictures and figure icons for research presentations and outreach. These images are drawn using a graphics tablet and Inkscape.
